Description

Extremely busy, expanding company engaged on a range of high voltage (HV) engineering projects requires an HV Commissioning Engineer for 11kV schemes in London and the South East / Home Counties.

The role will include testing and commissioning of HV equipment, such as transformers and switchgear, prior to asset adoption by DNO / IDNO.

Duties:

  • Primary and secondary injection testing
  • G59 testing and commissioning
  • Protection – differential, unit, distance, transformer
  • Current voltage / current power tests
  • Complete commissioning reports
  • Specification of new testing and commissioning equipment
  • Review commissioning plans prior to the commencement of works
  • Attend project meetings
  • Liaising with Project Managers and other colleagues

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience as a Commissioning Engineer in the high voltage / power distribution industry (11kV / 33kV / 132kV)
  • Driving licence
