We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic engineering team in Dawlish, South West. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and expertise to support our commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and assess compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best terms.
  • Provide advice on procurement strategies and risk management throughout the project.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders on project financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to quantity surveying.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the engineering sector.
  • Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
