Shelly’s Indigenous Bistro is an Indigenous-owned takeout, delivery and catering restaurant seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our daily operations and support the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily restaurant, takeout, delivery and catering operations
  • Supervise, schedule, train and support employees
  • Manage attendance, timekeeping and payroll submissions
  • Coordinate Front of House and commercial-kitchen operations
  • Step into cooking or food production when operationally required
  • Maintain food quality, safety and customer-service standards
  • Manage food and labour costs, inventory, purchasing and waste
  • Support catering growth and continuous operational improvement
  • Provide regular operational reports to ownership

What We’re Looking For

  • Five or more years of restaurant, food-service or hospitality experience
  • Two or more years of restaurant management or senior leadership experience
  • Hands-on commercial-kitchen and cooking experience
  • Experience with staffing, scheduling, training and performance management
  • Knowledge of payroll, food cost, labour cost, inventory and ordering
  • Strong food-safety and workplace-safety knowledge
  • Calm, organized and accountable leadership
  • Availability for approximately 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, holidays and catering events

A valid Manitoba Food Handler Certificate is required or must be obtained upon hire. WHMIS and Serving It Safe may also be required. First Aid/CPR is an asset.
