Summary:

The Human Resource Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture within our educational institution in Toronto, Ontario. This position is essential for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our organisational goals, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and enhancing employee engagement and performance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving initiatives that support our mission of providing high-quality education and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organisational objectives.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new staff.
  • Oversee employee relations, addressing grievances and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation.
  • Facilitate training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • Monitor and report on HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management to develop workforce planning strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
