Location: Hamilton, ON (Downtown)

Shift/Hours: Casual, On-Call | Afternoons, Evenings & Overnight Shifts

Pay Rate: $17.95/hr

We are currently seeking reliable, hardworking, and flexible General Labour Associates to join our client’s event operations team in downtown Hamilton. This is an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes at a variety of sporting events, concerts, and professional events.

In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will assist with setting up and dismantling event spaces, ensuring venues are prepared safely and efficiently.

This is a casual, on-call position with no guaranteed hours. Candidates must have flexible availability and be prepared to accept shifts on short notice, including evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends.

Job Description:

• Set up and dismantle event spaces, including staging, furniture, equipment, and signage.
• Load, unload, move, and organize event materials and equipment.
• Assist with venue preparation before events and cleanup following event completion.
• Safely lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete assignments within tight deadlines.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout each shift.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
• Perform additional general labour duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous general labour, warehouse, event setup, or other physically demanding work experience preferred.
• Must be available for casual, on-call shifts with short-notice scheduling.
• Flexible availability for afternoons, evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout a shift.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a plain black shirt, black pants, and CSA-approved safety footwear.
