Description

We are looking for a Seasonal Outdoor Retail Assistant to join our team at Pennine Garden Centre on a fixed-term basis from April through to the end of June.

This is a hands-on, active role supporting our outdoor plant area, ensuring stock is well maintained, displayed to a high standard, and our customers receive a great experience.

This is a temporary role working 18 hours per week on a two-week rota, as outlined below:

Week 1:

Wednesday: 10:00am – 4:00pm Thursday: 10:00am – 4:00pm Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Week 2: Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

As a Retail Assistant, your role includes but is not limited to these duties:

  • Watering and caring for outdoor plants
  • Replenishing and merchandising stock
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation across the outdoor area
  • Assisting customers with basic queries in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Supporting general outdoor maintenance as required

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

Ideally, we are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to undertake physical tasks including lifting and moving stock
  • Reliable, hardworking and a team player
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
