Seasonal Retail Assistant (Indoor Plants)

We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Seasonal Indoor Plant Assistant to join our team at Dean’s York Garden Centre.

If you love houseplants, enjoy creating beautiful displays, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving and supportive team.

In this role, you’ll be working the following hours until then end of July:

Week 1:

Monday: 10:30am – 5:00pm Tuesday: 10:30am – 5:00pm Wednesday: 10:30am – 5:00pm Friday: 10:30am – 5:00pm

Week 2:

Tuesday: 1:00pm – 7:30pm Wednesday: 10:30am – 5:00pm Thursday: 10:30am – 5:00pm Sunday: 9:00am – 4:30pm

What you’ll be doing:

• Caring for and maintaining a wide range of indoor plants
• Watering, pruning, and ensuring plants are presented to a high standard
• Creating attractive and inspiring displays for customers
• Offering friendly advice and guidance to customers on plant care
• Supporting with stock replenishment and general department upkeep

What we’re looking for:

• A genuine interest in indoor plants and plant care
• A positive, hands-on approach with great attention to detail
• Confidence in speaking with customers and offering advice
• A team player who is flexible and willing to help where needed
• Previous retail or horticulture experience is desirable but not essential
