Real Estate Tax Manager

Are you an experienced tax professional with a passion for real estate? Our client, one of the top 10 accounting firms, is seeking a Real Estate Tax Manager to join their dynamic team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious firm and manage a diverse portfolio of real estate clients, delivering high-quality tax services and contributing to the firm’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a varied portfolio of real estate clients, including property developers, investors, and funds, ensuring excellent client service and identifying opportunities for additional work.

Tax Compliance and Advisory: Manage complex tax compliance processes, review work prepared by junior team members, and provide strategic tax advisory services tailored to the real estate sector.

Client Liaison: Maintain proactive and regular communication with clients, addressing their tax needs and queries efficiently.

Tax Planning Projects: Lead and support tax planning projects, including structuring, transaction advice, and cross-border real estate investments.

Team Development: Mentor and develop junior staff, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth.

Technical Knowledge: Stay updated on tax legislation and industry developments, applying this knowledge to deliver innovative and compliant tax solutions.

Business Development: Support senior staff in business development activities, including preparing proposals, participating in client pitches, and attending networking events.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive and integrated services to clients.

Qualifications:

Professional Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or equivalent).

Experience: Significant experience in real estate tax within a professional services firm.

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UK real estate tax issues, including corporate tax, VAT, and SDLT.

Client Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding client service.

Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Team Leadership: Experience in managing and developing junior team members.

Business Acumen: Demonstrable experience in business development and client relationship management.
