WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and develop the HR function across the business. This role is responsible for setting the people strategy, supporting senior leadership, and ensuring effective delivery of HR operations through the management and development of the HR team.

You will act as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring that HR initiatives align with company growth while providing leadership, direction, and oversight to day-to-day HR activities.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Lead, manage and develop the HR team, providing guidance, support and performance management
  • Take ownership of the overall HR strategy, aligning people initiatives with business objectives Partner with senior leadership on organisational design, workforce planning and business growth
  • Oversee (rather than deliver) employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, performance and offboarding
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations cases, supporting and coaching managers and the HR Advisor
  • Ensure all HR policies, procedures and practices are fit for purpose and consistently applied across the business
  • Drive and embed a high-performance culture, supporting leadership capability across all levels
  • Lead on people-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee HR data, reporting and metrics to support strategic decision-making
  • Champion company culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives at a business-wide level

    SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Proven experience in an HR Manager or senior HR role with team management responsibility
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Demonstrated experience in developing HR strategy and leading people initiatives
    • Experience managing and developing HR team members
    • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, with a focus on oversight rather than delivery Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills CIPD Level 7
