Senior Solutions Engineer – Security Operations
Location: UK (Remote with travel)
Department: Sales
Reports to: CRO / Head of Sales
About CybaVerse
CybaVerse is building the next generation security operations platform designed for mid-market organisations and MSP partners. Our platform combines threat detection, automation, compliance and incident response into a single operational system that allows organisations to run modern security operations without the complexity of traditional SIEM or SOC tooling.
We work with both direct customers and channel partners to deliver scalable security operations.
As we scale, we are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to act as the technical authority during complex sales engagements.
Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity architecture, security operations and sales.
You will work alongside the sales team to help organisations understand how to build and operate effective security operations using the CybaVerse platform.
This is not a generic demo role. The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor to CISOs, IT leaders and MSP partners, helping them design modern SOC capabilities using automation, detection engineering and integrated security tooling.
You will lead technical discovery, architecture design, proof-of-concept deployments and technical validation throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery
Lead technical discovery sessions with prospects and partners to understand:
• existing security tooling
• SOC maturity and workflows
• detection and monitoring capabilities
• operational challenges
Translate these insights into a clear architecture for how CybaVerse can improve their security operations.
Security Architecture & Solution Design
Design security operations architectures that integrate CybaVerse with existing customer environments including:
• endpoint detection platforms
• identity platforms
• cloud infrastructure
• logging and telemetry sources
Produce solution designs and explain how automation, detection and response workflows operate within the platform.
Proof of Concept & Technical Validation
Lead technical proof-of-concept engagements with prospects.
Activities include:
• deploying and configuring the platform
• integrating with customer security tooling
• validating detection and response workflows
• demonstrating automation capabilities
The goal is to prove operational value rather than simply demonstrate product features.
Product Demonstration
Deliver tailored demonstrations focused on customer use cases such as:
• threat detection and investigation
• automated response workflows
• security operations management
• compliance monitoring
Demonstrations should focus on real operational outcomes rather than product features.
Partner Technical Enablement
Work closely with MSP and channel partners to enable them to successfully deploy and sell the platform.
Responsibilities include:
• technical onboarding and training
• solution architecture guidance
• support for partner-led sales opportunities
Product & Engineering Feedback
Act as a bridge between customers and the product team.
Provide insights on:
• feature requirements
• integration opportunities
• security operations workflows
• automation use cases
Required Experience
• 7+ years experience in cybersecurity engineering, SOC operations or security architecture
• Experience implementing or consulting on security operations platforms
• Strong understanding of SIEM, MDR or SOC tooling
• Experience supporting complex technical sales engagements
• Experience working with enterprise or mid-market environments
Technical Knowledge
Candidates should have strong knowledge of:
Security Operations
• SOC processes and workflows
• incident response lifecycle
• detection engineering
• MITRE ATT&CK framework
Security Platforms
• SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic or similar)
• EDR platforms
• identity security platforms
• cloud security telemetry
Automation
• security orchestration or automation workflows
• API integrations between security platforms
Scripting or automation experience (Python or similar) is beneficial but not required.
Key Attributes
The successful candidate will be:
• technically credible with security leaders
• able to simplify complex cybersecurity concepts
• commercially aware and able to support sales strategy
• confident presenting and running technical workshops
• comfortable working across both enterprise customers and MSP partners
Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by:
• technical win rate in sales engagements
• proof-of-concept conversion rate
• partner enablement success
• acceleration of complex sales cycles
Compensation
Typical compensation for this role:
Base salary: £80k -£100k
OTE: £120k– £140k
Variable compensation is tied to revenue closed by the sales team the role supports.
What This Role Is Not
This role is not focused on:
• generic product demonstrations
• implementation consulting
• writing production integrations or connectors
Instead, the focus is on helping customers and partners design and validate modern security operations using the CybaVerse platform
