We are looking for a motivated Charity Coordinator to source suitable charities, present proposals to senior leadership, and lead the delivery of approved charitable initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.
Job Summary
The Charity Coordinator will lead and manage CECOS’s engagement with charitable organisations. This role is responsible for identifying suitable charities, presenting proposals to the Senior Leadership Team, coordinating activities, and acting as the main point of contact between CECOS and selected charity partners. The post holder will lead initiatives from the front, ensuring due diligence, transparency, and positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify suitable local, national charities aligned with CECOS values.
- Prepare and present clear charity proposals and business cases to the Senior Leadership Team for approval.
- Conduct due diligence checks on selected charities to ensure credibility, governance, and ethical standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between CECOS and charity partners, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Coordinate with CECOS staff, volunteers, and departments to support charity initiatives and events.
- Lead charity projects and activities from planning through to delivery, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Track progress, outcomes, and impact, providing updates and reports to SLT when required.
- Promote staff/student engagement and volunteering opportunities across CECOS.
- Ensure all activities align with safeguarding, data protection, and organisational policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working or volunteering with charities or community organisations
- Experience preparing proposals or business cases
- Understanding of safeguarding and ethical standards in charitable work
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out
