Location: Southampton

Pay Rate: £12.82 – £14 per hour

Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support tailored to individuals with specific mental health needs.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with extensive experience and knowledge in mental health to join our dynamic team.

Monitor mental health conditions, administer medications as prescribed, and report any changes or concerns to the relevant professionals.

Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individuals with mental health needs.

Promote independence and well-being by encouraging individuals to achieve personal goals.

Implement care plans and support individuals in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement.

Monitor mental health conditions and report any changes or concerns to the relevant professionals.

Support individuals in managing medications and appointments as per their care plans.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care and support provided.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements

Proven experience in working with individuals with mental health needs.

Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, interventions, and care approaches.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3).

Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to care.

Demonstrated understanding of relevant mental health legislation and codes of practice in the UK.

Proficiency in using electronic care record systems for documentation.

Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 desirable).

Mental Health training or certification is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not mandatory).

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
