Job Title: Nursery Bank Staff

Location: Abacus Ark (Wandsworth, Clapham Junction, & Maida Vale)

Employment Type: 0 hour contract (open 50 weeks of the year)

Salary: 12.30 an hour

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bank Staff assistants to join our dedicated team – must be available at least 2/3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily routine and the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Supporting children in acquiring new skills appropriate for their age and ability.
  • Fostering children’s confidence through engaging and fun activities
  • Work collaboratively with nursery staff to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Using initiative to ensure children have a joyful experience

Requirements

  • Must be available at least 2/3 days a week
  • Must be able to work 10 hour shifts
  • Ability to obtain a clear DBS check
  • Provide details for 2 referees
  • Reliable commute or relocate
  • Work authorization in the United Kingdom
  • A caring and patient attitude with a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a childcare setting.
