We are looking for a friendly, motivated individual to join our Tills team at Dean’s York Garden Centre. If you’re passionate about delivering great customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Tills Assistant, you’ll help us achieve our ambition of being Yorkshire’s premier garden centre and family destination. You’ll be a key part of ensuring every visitor has a GREAT experience.

This role is 11.5 hours per week, working alternate weekends

Alternate Saturday 0900-1700 and Sunday 1000-1630

Key Responsibilities:

As a Retail Tills Assistant, your responsibilities are:

• Providing GREAT customer service at the tills and assisting customers

• Managing and processing returns

• Meeting and Greeting

• Managing Supplier visits and contact

• Answering phones and processing customer and supplier queries

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and in-person

• Managing customer complaints

• Serving our customers on the tills

• Making customer announcements

• Processing cash and debit/credit card transactions

And most importantly…Smiling and being Happy!

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:

The ideal Customer Service and Tills Assistant is someone who:

• Friendly personality

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Customer Service experience

• Willing to pitch in and help other team members

• Ability to work at pace in a very busy retail environment

• Eye for detail

• Able to think on your feet to find creative solutions

• Good computer skills
