Description

The Nunhead Gardener  ·South East London  ·  Part-time, 2 days a week  ·£13.46 per hour

We’re a family-owned, design-led garden centre rooted in South London, with stores in Nunhead, Camberwell, Elephant Park and Mayfair. Our online store is a growing part of the business, and we’re looking for someone with a brilliant eye for detail and aesthetics to help us take it to the next level.

The role

As our Ecommerce Content & Merchandising Assistant, you’ll be the person behind the scenes making sure our webshop looks as good as our stores. You’ll spot the products that haven’t made it online yet, configure them in our EPOS system (Vector Manager), and give each one the imagery and description it deserves – then check everything lands beautifully once it syncs through to our WordPress site.

Do this well and it matters: every product you add properly is a product that can sell online. You’ll also help shape where we take the online store next, working closely with our Online Fulfilment & Houseplant Advisor in Camberwell, and getting stuck into two new projects – bringing larger, made-to-order pieces online, and exploring nationwide bouquet delivery. As our online division grows, so will the scope of this role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Finding products that need adding to the web shop and getting them configured, described and photographed
  • Sourcing and editing images that are consistent with our existing style and brand
  • Writing clear, on-brand product descriptions, and proofing what’s already live
  • Checking everything displays properly once it syncs to WordPress
  • Helping set up new made-to-order products and supporting research into nationwide bouquet delivery

What we’re looking for

  • A great eye for detail and aesthetics – you notice when something’s a pixel out of place
  • Confident, clear writing
  • Comfortable picking up new systems (experience with EPOS platforms, WordPress or similar is a bonus)
  • Organised, self-motivated and happy working in a small team
  • A genuine interest in plants, gardening or floristry is a lovely bonus, but not essential

The details

  • Part-time, 2 days per week
  • £13.46 per hour, with scope to grow into a permanent role
  • Reports to the Operations Manager

Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you! ‪

Applicants should apply by submitting a CV and cover letter.
