Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team. Provide support to Manager, Credit & Risk, and Senior Director, Credit; monitor portfolio of designated borrowers, undertake annual credit reviews and quarterly financial monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Analysis & Annual Reviews

  • Populate database with historical and forecasted financial information from the borrowers.
  • Prepare annual credit reviews for designated THFC Group borrowers, encompassing a review of the audited accounts, business plan, FFR and other regulatory returns.
  • Second Line review of quarterly management information for designated borrowers

Portfolio Risk Monitoring

  • Maintaining the credit risk monitoring report to ensure that annual audited accounts, business plans, and where appropriate semi-annual and quarterly management accounts are received from all borrowers.
  • Review of Social Housing Regulatory Judgements when published, cross checking with portfolio and advising the Risk Team of notable changes.
  • Gather industry/market intelligence by, for example, picking up relevant articles from the trade press, searching relevant websites for useful news and data.

Credit Grading Model

  • Request and follow up FFR data for input into Credit Grading Model.
  • Update Credit Grading Model for designated borrowers.
  • Assist with the annual credit grade variance analysis for Credit Committee.
  • General

  • Attend the AHF quarterly portfolio monitoring meetings with Homes England and provide minutes and action points from the meeting.
  • Attend client meetings as required from time to time.
  • Ad hoc assistance as directed, to relationship managers and the Executive Team
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Security Asset Management Team
  • Skills & Background

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a credit environment.
  • Basic credit analysis skills and training
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • A good level of technical competence with Excel would be required.
  • Organisational skills and an eye for detail would be an advantage.
