We’re bringing a big, bouncy, family adventure to Otley – and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Grass Hoppers Assistant to help bring the experience to life!

🎯 About the Role

As a Grass Hoppers Assistant, you’ll be right at the heart of the guest experience. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll support both our play areas and café, making sure every visit is smooth, safe, and memorable.

Your day-to-day will include:

You can be assigned to multiple different areas within Grass Hoppers, for example a morning in outdoor play, and an afternoon in the Kitchen. Please see below the duties this role can involve:

✅ Welcoming families with a friendly, upbeat attitude

✅ Supervising play areas (bounce pillows, go-karts, climbing frames & more)

✅ Supporting guests and answering questions

✅ Taking food & drink orders and serving customers

✅ Preparing drinks and assisting with food service

✅ Keeping all areas clean, safe, and ready for fun

✅ Working as part of a supportive, energetic team

🍽️Supporting on the pot washing machine, efficiently loading & unloading dishes & cutlery

🍽️Preparing ingredients such as chopping vegetables for side salads, preparing sandwiches

🍽️Helping support the Back of House Kitchen team with ad hoc duties and cleaning

👉 No two days are the same – you’ll move between play and catering to help wherever needed.

📅 Hours & Contracts

Hours vary dependent on if we’re in peak or off-peak season. Peak is our busiest 13 weeks out of the year (School holidays).

Average hours per week: 16 (off-peak), 32.5 (peak)

• Off-peak = Monday(9:15-4:45), Tuesday(11:30-2:30), Thursday(11:30-2:30) & Friday(11:30-2:30)
• Peak = Also working Wednesdays & working longer shifts until 5pm.
