Do you enjoy working in a busy catering environment?

We are looking to recruit a Catering / Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Bingley Garden Centre.

The role includes a mixture of:

  • Kitchen Porter duties
  • Front of House support
  • Kitchen Assistant responsibilities

Hours available:

🕒Monday 10:00am – 3:00pm (Kitchen Porter)

🕒Wednesday 10:30am – 4:30pm (Kitchen Porter)

🕒Thursday 9:00am – 3:00pm (Front of House Assistant)

🕒Friday 8:30am – 2:30pm (Kitchen Assistant)

29.5 hours per week

We would ideally like one person to cover all shifts; however, we are also happy to consider applications from two individuals who can share the role.

Experience in catering or kitchen environments would be an advantage, particularly for candidates undertaking the Kitchen Assistant duties.

We are hoping for a start date from the week commencing 28 September, so early applications are encouraged.

About the Role

As a Catering / Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of our catering service. The role includes a mixture of kitchen porter, front of house and kitchen assistant responsibilities, supporting the team with food preparation, service delivery, cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.

Flexibility is important, as duties will vary depending on the day and operational requirements.

We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who can work well as part of a team in a busy catering environment.

You will:

✅Demonstrate good customer service skills.

✅Understand the importance of food safety and hygiene.

✅Be willing to undertake a range of catering duties.

Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food preparation is desirable. Candidates interested in undertaking the Kitchen Assistant duties should have relevant kitchen experience and confidence supporting food preparation activities.
