Join SYOS and help build the team behind the future of autonomous technology. SYOS is a pioneering aerospace and technology company developing autonomous vehicles across air, land and sea. With our product range expanding across the UK, Europe and internationally, we’re growing our teams and looking for exceptional people to join us on that journey. We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team and play a key role in attracting and securing the talent we need to support our continued growth.

About the role

This role has been created to support a significant recruitment drive linked to continued business growth. Working closely with our Internal Recruiter, you’ll help manage a high volume of hiring activity, providing administrative and coordination support to ensure an excellent candidate experience and successful delivery of our recruitment plans.

We’re keen to welcome someone who can make an immediate impact and are therefore looking for candidates who are available to start as soon as possible. We are open to discussing different engagement options, including permanent, fixed-term, or contract arrangements, for the right individual.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its journey, playing a key role in helping us attract and onboard the talent needed to support our future success.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage recruitment across a range of business functions and levels, from briefing through to offer and onboarding.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Provide market insight, salary benchmarking and recruitment advice to support effective hiring decisions.
  • Facilitate interviews, assessments and selection processes.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies for specialist and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Identify and engage talent through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, referrals and direct search.
  • Help strengthen the SYOS employer brand across relevant talent markets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the New Zealand Talent Acquisition team to share market intelligence, sourcing strategies and best practice.

What we’re looking for

We’re particularly interested in individuals who take a quality-first approach to recruitment, with a track record of successfully filling specialist and business-critical roles through proactive sourcing, strong market knowledge and effective stakeholder partnership. You’ll be passionate about finding the right people, not just filling vacancies, and committed to delivering an outstanding experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment, whether in-house, agency or RPO.
  • High candidate placement success rate.
  • Creative sourcing skills and the ability to think outside the box to identify and engage talent.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills and the confidence to influence, challenge and advise hiring managers.
  • Demonstrated sourcing capability across LinkedIn, professional networks, job boards and direct search.

Additional requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
  • Ability to work within a defence and security-regulated environment.

Why join SYOS?

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing aerospace and technology business where Talent Acquisition is central to our growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of specialist roles, partner directly with technical and business leaders, and help shape how SYOS attracts and hires talent as we expand internationally.

You’ll also work closely with our New Zealand Talent Acquisition team, giving you exposure to a global recruitment environment and the opportunity to share ideas and best practice across markets.

If you’re an experienced recruiter who loves finding great talent, building strong relationships and trying new ways of doing things, we’d love to hear from you.
