Description

Job Title: Charge Nurse/Nurse Manager

Job Summary:

The Charge Nurse, also known as a Nurse Manager, is responsible for overseeing a team of registered nurses and other healthcare staff to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care in various healthcare facilities. They provide leadership, coordination, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

– Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate the performance of a team of nurses and support staff

– Provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality care is being delivered

– Oversee the delivery of patient care by monitoring patients’ health, administering medications, providing wound care, and meeting with patients and their families to discuss treatment plans

– Coordinate workflows to ensure shifts are staffed appropriately, patients are transferred efficiently, and equipment is available when needed

– Document patients’ medical records accurately

– Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding healthcare

Qualifications:

– Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree

– Several years of experience working as an RN in a healthcare setting

preferably in a leadership or management role – Valid nursing license

and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
