Housekeeper

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our retail team in Blackburn. This part-time, permanent position is essential for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers and staff. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in ensuring that our store meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to an enjoyable shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Ensure all areas of the store are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Assist in maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Support the team in preparing the store for opening and closing

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of cleaning techniques is preferred
• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is an advantage but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
