Works Manager

Deploy Limited is currently looking for a Works Manager/Operations Manager to support a market-leading OLE client of ours in the Scotland region.

This is a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of projects to key milestones and deadlines. The role of a Works Manager would suit somebody with significant rail experience and in particular experience with high voltage and OLE.

This role is people-centric and focuses on performance, training and development of individuals in order to reach business deliverables. A background in effectively managing staff and an understanding of how to get the best out of those staff through effective management and leadership would be a benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rostering staff, as well as observing workers’ performance
• Managing resources including when to place workers on training and leave
• Conducting Performance Development Reviews on the team
• Acting as a mentor to the junior members as well as upskilling via courses
• Responsible for the operational execution of the works on-site
• Provide and analyze Problem Record reports for process audit

Requirements:

• Previous experience in rostering and the supervision of staff
• Experience in conducting PDRs
• Technical experience in OLE is desirable

This role would suit someone who has worked as a construction Manager/Operations Manager or similar compacity that has carried out the aforementioned responsibilities within their role.
