Primary Design Engineer

Award-winning international renewable energy asset developer, heavily involved in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and solar farm projects, with a focus on HV and EHV grid connection, many of which are among the largest in the UK, requires a Primary Design Engineer. With previous experience designing high voltage primary systems, this is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation at the forefront of renewable energy grid integration.

Responsibilities:

• Design of detailed HV layouts, single line diagrams (SLD), cable routes, cable sizing, cable design, block diagrams etc for grid connection
• Take part in project meetings
• Act as technical expert for all matter related to HV primary design

Experience and Qualifications:

• Background as a Primary Design Engineer in the HV sector, gained with either an ICP, DNO / iDNO, National Grid engineering consultancy or contractor
• Experience working on battery storage, solar or other renewable energy projects is desirable
• Degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or related discipline
