Permanent Works Design Coordinator

Civil engineering organisation, in existence over 70 years, with a place on major infrastructure frameworks, requires a Permanent Works Design Coordinator in Suffolk.  This role is available on a hybrid basis.  

Joining a focused and engaged team, the Design Coordinator will work on civil engineering projects with a range of clients, including Highways England and the Environment Agency.  

• Manage and coordinate a team of design engineers, including external ones
• Attend meetings with client to discuss design solutions
• Put together design documents, reports and plans
• Carry out design reviews, to ensure compliance with project requirements 
• Provide advice on buildability and value-added engineering

Experience:

• Background in civil engineering, gained as a Senior Engineer, Agent, Site Manager
• Understanding of design process, standards, specifications and codes
• Experience in the design of heavy civil engineering schemes
