Our Telford facility plays a key role in the Group’s success, and we are now seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the site, drive operational performance, and continue building on its achievements.
The Role
This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role with full accountability for the Telford site. You will oversee Transport, Operations, and Maintenance, ensuring that production and service delivery run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
We’re looking for a disciplined, process-driven leader who thrives in structured, fast-paced environments and can bring a continuous improvement mindset to enhance productivity, efficiency, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and support the site management team to deliver operational excellence.
- Oversee Transport, Operations, and Maintenance to ensure departmental KPIs are achieved.
- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance across the site.
- Apply structured planning and continuous improvement methodologies to optimise workflows and resource use.
- Manage site budgets, cost of sales, and overall financial performance.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Review and refine processes, reporting, and communication systems to support consistent delivery and scalable growth.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team on business planning and operational strategy.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role (General Manager, Operations Manager, or Site Manager level).
- Strong background in structured, process-focused environments with multi-department oversight.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex, high-volume operations.
- Financially astute with the ability to interpret and act on P&L and cost reports.
- Skilled in driving efficiency, improving systems, and embedding best practice.
- Excellent communicator with strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills.
- Resilient, pragmatic, and results-driven with a commitment to continuous improvement.
