About the Role
The Housekeeping Service Attendant role performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing Urban Rest properties and Hotel Rooms including bedrooms, baths, kitchens, living areas and communal spaces as directed by the Quality Supervisor. This role falls under the internal housekeeping business unit. Housekeeping Service Attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and concerns. The successful candidate should maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all housekeeping departmental policies/service and also Urban Rest procedures and standards. Additionally, maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and service guest rooms, apartments, and common areas in accordance with Urban Rest standards
Complete full turnover cleaning between guest stays within the allocated timeframe
Provide mid-stay service to guests during their stay
Make beds, change linen, and replace used towels
Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitize all surfaces
Clean kitchen areas, including dishes, appliances, benches, and sinks
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, and floors
Ensure each property is fully prepared and presentable prior to guest arrival
Clean the common areas and outside building areas as required
Restock guest supplies such as toiletries, toilet paper, tea/coffee, and other amenities
Arrange furniture and decor according to Urban Rest presentation standards
Conduct a final inspection of the property to ensure nothing has missed for cleaning
Report any damages, missing items, or maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor/manager
Record and report any lost property in line with Urban Rest procedures
Collect used linen and towels and replace them with fresh supplies
Maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning products and guest amenities
Assist with linen deliveries and the organisation of stock when required
Follow all company cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines
Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to provided instructions
Ensure all properties are properly locked and secured after cleaning
Travel from one location to another for cleaning of apartments/ rooms
Responsible for actively contributing to guest satisfaction in terms of cleanliness and presentation
Authorized to enter designated Urban Rest units for cleaning and providing drop off services as per requirement
Attends guest feedback, guest requests/guest complaints in the area assigned
Resolve guest complaints to the best of their ability or promptly report to Supervisor and/or Guest Relations team, ensuring guest satisfaction
Be familiar with all Urban Rest services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Return housekeeping packs, equipment and keys at the end of shift
