Hours: Working 13.5 hours every weekend, and 20.5 hours during peak weeks (school holidays)
Working Pattern: Working 8:45am – 5pm every Saturday, 8:45am – 2:30pm every Sunday and only during peak weeks working an additional 9:30am – 5pm on Tuesdays.
Our Grass Hoppers play zone is a popular attraction for families, especially during the summer holidays and festive season. We offer a range of fun and interactive play sessions and bespoke parties for children.
As a Grass Hopper Assistant you will be responsible for delivering exciting and engaging activities to children up to 11 years old. You’ll also assist with welcoming visitors, facilitating play activities and private parties, dealing with customer enquiries and concerns, and maintaining the play areas and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Grass Hoppers Assistant you will be responsible for:
Welcoming visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Assisting customers, answering queries and supporting children where neededTaking orders and payments using tills in line with company proceduresChecking in visitors and confirming bookingsSupervising play equipment and reporting any faultsCarrying out daily cleaning, safety checks and general upkeep (indoor and outdoor)Preparing and serving drinks and snacksDelivering food and drinks to tables and ensuring customer satisfactionRestocking fridges, counters and shelves and putting away deliveriesSupporting birthday parties, events and activitiesFollowing food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all timesWorking both independently and as part of a team to support supervisors and managersMaintaining professional standards and representing the company positively
Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
The ideal Grass Hoppers Assistant is someone who:
• Is friendly, approachable and can adapt to the demands of the role.
• Has previous customer service experience and enjoys working with children.
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills
• Has prior experience working in a team setting.
• Is confident and competent with dealing with challenging situations and customer complaints.
• Has strong organisational skills.
• Can plan and assist with sourcing the necessary materials and resources for our inhouse parties and play activities.
