Role: Production Editor – Network N Media

Location: Bath, Somerset (office based role)

Type: Full-time, Temporary (Six month fixed term contract)

Salary: £30,000 per annum

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and self motivated Production Editor to join us on a six month fixed term contract.

We are committed to writing great content for PC gamers, mobile gamers, and table top gamers, and this role would suit someone who truly understands our audience and believes that high standards are non negotiable.

The role will focus on ensuring our content is accurate, well presented, meets our editorial standards and is created in our tone of voice.

Please note this role is based at our head office in Bath and not a remote role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Editing, proofreading and preparing media content for online publishing.
  • Ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency and style guides are met with precision in each piece of work.
  • Ensuring content is optimised for SEO best practice.
  • Working closely with the Network N Media Editors team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring editorial issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring legal and libel compliance is held to the highest standards
  • Identifying training needs in writers who consistently fall short of editorial standards
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in the production workflow.

You will have/be/be able to:

  • Proven experience in editing fast paced online content, with preference given to applicants who have worked within games media.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong grasp of written American English.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A robust understanding of SEO best practice is preferable but training will be given to the right candidate
  • Strong organisational skills for managing several pieces of content at once.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback for Editors to pass on
  • Experience of using Asana is preferred, but not essential
  • Must be able to produce proof of right to work in the UK by the start of employment
