How does the Employment Hero Payroll and FreeAgent integration work?

Employment Hero Payroll users can now easily integrate payroll with FreeAgent to import the chart of accounts, and tax codes, as well as export the payroll journal to the general ledger.

To benefit from this integration, Employment Hero Payroll users will need to sign up for an account with FreeAgent. Once the account has been set up, it’s as simple as linking FreeAgent via the integrations section, mapping the chart of accounts, and then exporting the payroll journal to the FreeAgent general ledger once a pay run is finalised. This integration streamlines the entire payroll process, eliminating the need to export and import your chart of accounts, tax codes, and payroll journals.

How does this help accountants and bookkeepers?

With the Employment Hero Payroll and FreeAgent integration, payroll data can be sent from the payroll software straight into the accounting software, eliminating the need for manual upload.

Employment Hero Payroll simply produces a payroll journal that can be viewed and downloaded. This journal can be sent into the general ledger in FreeAgent, directly through Employment Hero Payroll.
