About the Role:
Join the Umwelt Finance Team on a 3 day a week max term contract through to February 2027 and play a pivotal role in supporting our project based operations. We are seeking an experienced Finance Administrator / Project Finance Officer to assist with project and proposal setup, budget management, and the administration of financial data across the full lifecycle of our projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data within our ERP project management system, identifying potential financial risks or issues, and contributing to practical business solutions. You will also support the continuous improvement of financial operations and transactional processes, helping to ensure efficient, high quality outcomes for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the accurate and timely creation of proposal and projects within our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) in accordance with the contract and work breakdown structure (WBS)
- Work with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle to drive efficient and effective client invoicing in line with project plans and agreements
- Prepare and provide financial analysis and information to assist project managers and support commercial decisions
- Support project managers across a portfolio of projects of varying complexities, sizes, and values
- Contribute to the achievement of the broader Finance team goals
- Work in harmony with Umwelt’s values, objectives, policies, and procedures
About You:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in project finance administration or a similar role
- Experience working with multiple consulting projects or other project financial work
- Proven history of overseeing entire project lifecycles, using work breakdown structures, and having a good understanding of standard project management processes
- Experience in working within an ERP
- Well-developed time management skills
- Strong organisation skills to succeed at managing multiple ongoing tasks
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Word, Excel)
- Experience using Project Management software will be highly regarded
This position requires excellent skills in engaging with stakeholders, as well as experience in project finance.
