SKJ Consulting Group offers financial and management support whilst also supporting clients with business growth and turnaround strategies. SKJ Consulting Group currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Consultant to join their team in their Brisbane based office.

As the Finance Consultant, you will manage a small team and be responsible for a number of assignments. Your role between clients will vary in terms of scope and industry, adding an exciting dimension to your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Management Reporting – Generate and analyse financial reports for clients and provide insights into key performance indicators. Communicate financial trends and metrics to clients, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Financial Accounting – Oversee clients accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Budgets & Forecasts – Collaborate with clients to develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Conduct regular forecasting to anticipate financial trends and support proactive financial decision making.
  • Strategic Planning – Contribute to the development and execution of clients strategic financial plans to support the company’s long term objectives. Work closely with leadership to align financial strategies with overall business strategies.
  • Bookkeeping – Manage bookkeeping tasks for clients, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely record keeping. Reconcile financial discrepancies and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Current CA/CPA Qualifications preferred or relevant Australian experience.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail oriented skills.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management position.
  • Advanced Excel skills, accounting knowledge and experience using ERP Systems.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with a range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and leading work teams.
