We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team due to continued expansion and increasing project demand.

This role is ideal for a capable, detail-oriented Estimator with strong experience in insurance building repairs. You will be responsible for preparing accurate repair scopes and estimates, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working collaboratively with insurers, assessors, trades, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve quality outcomes.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate repair scopes, quotations, and cost estimates for residential insurance repair projects.
  • Reviewing assessment reports, plans, photographs, and supporting documentation to determine repair requirements.
  • Preparing estimates using industry estimating software and ensuring compliance with insurer requirements and company standards.
  • Liaising with insurers, assessors, clients, trades, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
  • Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations where required.
  • Identifying potential variations, risks, and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining repair quality.
  • Managing multiple estimates and priorities while meeting agreed turnaround times and service level expectations.
  • Supporting operational teams during catastrophe (CAT) events and periods of increased workload.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance estimating accuracy, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience estimating residential insurance repair projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, repair techniques, and insurance building processes.
  • Experience using estimating software.
  • Ability to interpret building plans, scopes of works, engineering reports, and assessor documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Trade qualification or formal building/construction qualifications highly regarded.
  • White Card, Working at Heights, and current Qld driver’s licence required.
  • Professional, organised, and customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
