An exciting opportunity has now become available for an experienced and motivated People & Culture Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting our people, culture, mission and organisational growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated HR team and make a meaningful impact within a values-driven organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director – People, Culture & Mission, the People & Culture Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations while driving strategic initiatives that support employee wellbeing, engagement and performance. You will provide expert advice to managers, lead workforce planning and development activities, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industrial instruments.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR management (at least 5+ years), preferably within a complex or community-based organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, awards and HR best practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong, trusted relationships across all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the HR team in delivering effective and timely HR services.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management and workforce planning.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies that attract and retain high-quality staff.
  • Manage HR policies, systems and reporting to ensure compliance and consistency across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive and safe workplace culture.
  • Support organisational change, training and staff development initiatives.
