Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be hunter-style Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition in the warehousing and 3PL space. This role is purely new business acquisitions management and maintaining new customers you acquire only, just winning and growing fresh opportunities.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who shares our values and is committed to providing exceptional service to our customers and our internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Prospect, identify and secure new warehousing contracts.
  • Leverage your industry network to open doors and build relationships.
  • Engage with Directors, Warehouse Managers and Operations leaders to offer operationally focused solutions.
  • Monitor tender cycles and contract renewals to target opportunities at the right time.
  • Exceed sales budgets and deliver consistent growth.

What you bring:

  • Proven business development experience in warehousing/3PL minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Strong industry network and knowledge of operational solutions.
  • Experience working with leading global providers
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate at all levels from floor staff through to senior management

Qualifications:

  • Formal education at university supplemented by solid, proven senior work experience in achieving aggressive goals in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment (would be an advantage).
  • Proven track record of success in business development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Intermediate with Excel & PowerPoint
