Overview
With exciting growth in the last few years and further plans in motion, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will support a variety of day-to-day financial processes across the business. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, reliable, and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily reconciliation of bank receipts and payments in various currencies
• Owning the process for the team’s business card claims including processing, reviewing claims and reconciling balances
• Management of the accounts payable process from inbox to posting including supplier statement reconciliations
• Liaising with project leads to ensure accurate postings and keep budgets reconciled
• Assisting the financial controller with accounts receivable
• Monthly reconciliation of key balance sheet control accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns for approval
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly reporting and period closure
• Assisting with the preparation of year end schedules for provision to external accountants
• General finance administration and management of financial data
• Providing other ad-hoc support where needed to the finance team
Key Requirements – Skills
• Proven experience in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years
• Experience working with a complex accounting software
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with particular emphasis on Excel
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• AAT or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential
