Accounts Payable | Te Ara Pūtea Tautoko

Fixed Term – 6 months

30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:

The Accounts Payable | Te Ara Pūtea Tautoko role supports Your Way | Kia Roha by ensuring invoices, staff expense claims, customer refunds, supplier records, reconciliations, and payment runs are processed accurately, on time, and in line with approved policies, financial controls, and New Zealand tax requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and staff expense claims
  • Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs for review and release
  • Managing the accounts payable inbox and responding to supplier and internal queries
  • Following up unreceipted or unapproved invoices
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Ensuring correct GST treatment and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting month-end, year-end, and audit processes
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier records
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and controls

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an accounts payable or finance processing role
  • Sound understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment runs
  • Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Working knowledge of GST requirements and the importance of accuracy and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet routine deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • A collaborative working style
