Description

We are looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role supports the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of the Finance function across Waitangi Ltd.

This is a varied 40 hour permanent role, responsible for:

  • Managing the accounts receivable function
  • Supporting day-to-day accounting operations
  • Financial reconciliations
  • Reporting
  • Audit preparation
  • Hospitality inventory processes
  • Payroll (Back-up only)

You will be part of a small team focused on delivering excellent support to both internal and external customers.

What you’ll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting or senior accounting role
  • in an organisation of similar scale of complexity.

  • Experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting functions
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan, set clear objectives and meet deadlines 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related discipline 
  • It would also be advantageous to have:
    • CA/CPA qualification or be working towards this
    • New Zealand payroll processing experience
    • Experience with Xero and/or Customlinc
