Admin All-Rounder
Behind every great restaurant is a great team keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
At The Fat Duck, we’re looking for a capable and organised Admin All-Rounder to join us in Te Anau — on the edge of Fiordland National Park and help keep our busy operations ticking along.
About the Role
This is a varied, part-time role supporting our operations,
HR, payroll, and finance teams. You’ll be the kind of person who enjoys
juggling different tasks, takes pride in getting the details right, and likes
being a key part of a team that genuinely values what you do. If you’re looking
for flexible, meaningful work in one of New Zealand’s most stunning regions,
this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- General office administration and day-to-day operational support
- Assisting with HR administration including onboarding and employment documentation
- Supporting payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee records
- Finance admin support
- Maintaining and updating internal systems and documentation
- Supporting the team with communications, scheduling, and coordination tasks
- Assisting with internal content and documents
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A warm, professional communicator who works well in a team
- Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Strong computer literacy is essential — you’ll be working daily across Microsoft
365, AI platforms, payroll & HR software, and Canva. If technology
isn’t your thing, this role isn’t the right fit
- Experience with Loaded Hub, or Employment Hero is a bonus
What We Offer
- Hybrid working arrangement — a mix of on-site and remote
- Flexible hours to suit your lifestyle
- 30% off dining for you and guests when off duty
- A genuinely supportive and close-knit team
- Set days to enjoy the Fiordland playground on your doorstep
- Opportunities to learn, grow, and develop your skills
- Clear systems and processes to help you succeed
Hours
Part-time, approximately 15–25 hours per week. Hours flex
with the seasons — reduced in winter, increasing through summer. We’re open to
finding an arrangement that works for the right person.
Visa Requirements
Please note: Applicants must currently be in New Zealand
with a valid open work visa. Sponsorship is not available at this time.
Part-time positions are not suitable for those on Working Holiday Visas.
We’d love to hear from someone who takes their work
seriously, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to be part of a team that’s
as passionate about its people as it is about great hospitality. Sound like
you?
To apply, send your CV and a brief cover letter to us
directly.
Successful applications will be contacted within two
weeks for interview.
