We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of civil construction projects. From bulk earthworks and three waters through to roading, and infrastructure works, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and profitably while building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from tender handover through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the high standards our clients expect.

Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and internal teams, you’ll provide the leadership and coordination required to keep projects moving and achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver civil construction projects from initiation through to completion
  • Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts, and resources
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, environmental obligations, quality standards, and contractual requirements
  • Administer contracts and manage projects in accordance with NZS 3910 principles
  • Manage project reporting, progress claims, variations, and commercial performance
  • Lead project teams to achieve outstanding safety, quality, programme, and financial outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to a positive team culture

About You

You will be a motivated and capable Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Proven experience successfully delivering civil construction projects
  • Strong understanding of civil infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, utilities installation and roading projects
  • Sound commercial acumen and project financial management skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Working knowledge of NZS 3910 contract administration
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental excellence
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to build trust with clients and teams alike
