Labourers / Apprentice Drainlayers

Summary:

We are seeking dedicated Labourers / Apprentice Drainlayers / Water Installers to join our team in Christchurch, Canterbury. This permanent, full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates to gain hands-on experience in the drainlaying / water installation trade. As a vital part of our operations, you will assist in various drainage and water installation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced drainlayers / water installers in the installation of drainage / water systems
• Carry out labouring and clean-up tasks
• Operate basic hand tools and machinery.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Support the team in achieving project deadlines and quality standards.
• Learn and apply techniques for effective drainage and water installation towards achieving your qualification.

Qualifications:

• No formal qualifications required for a labourer; however, a willingness to learn is essential
• Partially or nearly completed drain laying certificate or pipeline construction certificate for Apprentice.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not necessary.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.
