About the role
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Accounts Team Leader to lead our Finance Administration team on a fixed-term basis while we merge financial systems and processes. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of accounts and financial
administration services while providing leadership, coaching, and operational support to a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of finance administrators to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, and daily finance operations.
- Ensure financial processes comply with company policies, accounting standards, and legislative requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Prepare cashflow forecasts, monitor cash positions, and support cash management activities.
- Build strong relationships with operational managers and provide trusted financial support and guidance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
- Maintain robust financial controls, documentation, and compliance standards.
About You
You are a hands-on finance professional with proven leadership experience and a strong understanding of financial administration functions.
You’ll bring:
- Experience leading and developing finance or accounts teams.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, GST, and financial controls.
- Experience supporting month-end reporting and cashflow management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial/ERP systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
