We’re
a payroll outsourcing and consultancy firm that does genuinely complex work for
clients who need to get payroll right. We’re a focused, close-knit team with
deep expertise — and a reputation we’re proud of. Our clients trust us because
we take the time to understand their needs and deliver with care and accuracy,
every time.
This
role is new for us. As we’ve grown, it’s become clear we need someone who can
sit at the centre of how our business runs — keeping client work flowing, our
consultants well-allocated, and the operational side of things tight and tidy.
What
you’ll actually be doing
Day
to day, this role is about keeping everything moving. You’ll manage incoming
client work, make sure the right people are assigned to the right jobs, and
keep our contracts and onboarding running smoothly. You’ll be the connector
between our clients and our team — the person who knows what’s happening, who’s
across the detail, and who can spot a problem before it becomes one.
More
specifically:
- Managing
how capacity is allocated across active and upcoming work
- Triaging
and coordinating incoming client requests across our consulting and
managed payroll services
- Handling
contract preparation, execution, and record-keeping
- Supporting
client onboarding for new engagements
- Working
with our Office Manager to make sure invoicing is accurate and timely
- Identifying
ways to make our processes more efficient — and doing something about it
What
we’re looking for
You’ve
worked in operations, project coordination, or resource management before and
you know what good looks like. You’re organised without being rigid, calm under
pressure, and the kind of person who doesn’t wait to be asked before tidying
something up.
You
communicate clearly, you follow through, and you care about doing things
properly.
If
you’ve used automation or workflow tools to improve how a team operates —
great. That’s exactly the kind of thinking we want more of.
On
paper:
- Solid
experience in operations, resource coordination, or similar
- Strong
organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable
with the Microsoft suite and project or workflow tools
- A high
standard of attention to detail
Experience
in professional or managed services, and familiarity with contract admin or
capacity planning, would be a bonus.
Why
NLC
We’re
a small team that takes our work seriously — without taking ourselves too
seriously. You’ll report directly to the CEO and have real visibility across
the whole business. There’s genuine scope to shape this role and build
something that works.
We’re
based in Petone and offer a collaborative, no-nonsense working environment.
If
this sounds like your kind of role, we’d love to hear from you. Send your CV
and a brief note about why you’re interested to Kim Richards (kim.richards@calibratedtalent.co.nz).
