Description

Are you someone who enjoys capturing moments, telling stories through visuals, and working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment? Join the team behind one of Central Otago’s most recognised wine and tourism destinations.

About Gibbston Valley

Gibbston Valley Winery is a family-owned winery and tourism destination where wine, hospitality, and people come together to create memorable experiences for guests from around the world. Our business spans cellar door experiences, restaurants, lodge accommodation, spa, events, and golf — making Gibbston Valley a unique hospitality and tourism workplace supported by a diverse and dedicated team.

The Role

We’re looking for a Destination & Brand Content Creator to help bring that experience to life through visual content. This is a hands-on, on-site role where you will capture and produce photo and video content across the business — supporting campaigns, digital channels, and ongoing brand storytelling. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager, following clear briefs while developing your ability to identify and capture meaningful moments across the property.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Capturing photo and video content across the property, including vineyard, restaurant, golf course, and guest experiences.
  • Editing and delivering content for social media, website, email campaigns, and marketing activity
  • Supporting key campaigns such as In Good Company, Thyme Magazine, and seasonal releases
  • Building and maintaining an organised content library
  • Working with teams across wine, culinary, golf, and hospitality to capture content opportunities
  • Contributing ideas on how moments can be best captured, while working from defined briefs

About You

You enjoy working behind the camera and take pride in producing high-quality visual content. You’re someone who pays attention to detail, has a good eye for composition and storytelling, and is comfortable working in a busy, operational environment where no two days are the same. You’re also open to feedback, willing to learn, and motivated to continue developing your creative capability within a well-established brand.

You Will Likely Bring:

  • 2–4+ years’ experience in content creation, photography, or videography
  • Strong capability across both photo and video (shooting and editing)
  • Experience creating content for digital platforms including social media and web
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence working with people across different parts of a business

Experience in hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle brands would be an advantage.

Portfolio Required

Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. We’re looking for examples that demonstrate your ability to concept, capture, and execute high-quality content.

Your portfolio may include:

  • Personal creator accounts
  • Social campaigns or brand work
  • Creator reels or highlight edits
  • Hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or destination storytelling

Why Join Gibbston Valley?

  • Work in one of Central Otago’s most iconic wine and tourism destinations
  • Be part of a business spanning wine, dining, accommodation, and experiences
  • Opportunity to work across a diverse operational environment
  • Join a small, collaborative marketing team
  • Build your experience and develop your creative capability within a premium brand

If you enjoy creating content and want to be part of a team that brings a destination to life through storytelling, we would love to hear from you.

Work rights

We’re not offering visa sponsorship for this role. You must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand (e.g., NZ/Aus citizen, resident, or a partnership visa, open work rights)

Thanks for applying! Because of the high number of applicants, only those selected for interview will be contacted.
