About the role

Based in our Plant Yard in South Auckland, this busy, varied role ensures our construction projects have the plant, materials and services required on time and on specification to get the job done. The position is focused on the coordination of our fleet of heavy civils machinery, tunnel boring machines and associated materials and parts. The role will involve travel across the wider Auckland area to our construction sites.

Key responsibilities

Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors on purchase orders
Conducting cost analysis on quotes, ensuring the best outcome
Creation of material codes
Receipt and issuance of materials / services /assets on JDE
Recording documentation of all plant associated expenses
Provide support on the maintenance scheduling and recording of plant equipment
Maintenance register of the active/inactive machinery, efficiency and breakdowns
Plan the activities and fleet movement with the plant team

About you

Tertiary qualified, Technical, Engineering or similar field
Full class 1 drivers license
Technical or Engineering background in procurement, supply chain or servicing
Experience working in the technical or engineering industry
Basic knowledge of construction equipment, spare parts and materials
JD Edwards (JDE) experience advantageous
Demonstrated experience working with high levels of accuracy
Previous experience in construction site operations is an advantageous
Sound planning and organisational skills
