Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community integration.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Help clients with mobility and transportation needs
• Take participants out into the community in our group activities program
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Role Overview

• Support individuals in 1-on-1 settings: appointments, activities, daily routines

• Facilitate group experiences across the Gold Coast with consistency and care

• Provide goal-driven respite aligned with client preferences

To comply with NDIS standards, formal qualifications are mandatory:

• Minimum Cert III in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or equivalent

• At least 1 year of direct industry experience in a paid support role

• Current Blue Card, Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, and Police Check

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport

• Strong professional boundaries and a client-first mindset

• (Bonus) Experience in Support Coordination or as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
