About the Role

As a Vacation Care Lead Educator, you’ll lead and facilitate engaging activities, experiences, and excursions that encourage children to learn, explore, and have fun in a safe and inclusive environment.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will:

• Deliver exciting on-site activities and excursion programs
• Foster children’s social, emotional, and physical development
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all participants
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Support and encourage children to develop confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging
• Ensure children’s wellbeing and safety remain at the centre of everything you do

Your passion, creativity, and commitment will help make every school holiday period a positive and memorable experience for the children in our community.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An ACECQA-approved qualification at Diploma level or above, or be actively working towards a Diploma qualification or higher
• A current Employee Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid certification (HLTAID012) or the ability to obtain prior to commencement
• A strong commitment to the values, vision, and mission of The Y
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• A genuine passion for supporting children to be healthy, happy, and connected
• The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative and high-quality team culture
