The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of major, multi-bar events — from large-scale music festivals to national government celebrations and high-profile outdoor activations.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role where success is defined by your ability to design, coordinate, and deliver multi-bar environments at scale — ensuring seamless service, compliance, and customer experience across multiple bar sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of major outdoor and festival events, with a focus on multi-bar operations and high-volume service environments
  • Oversee all event logistics, site planning, bar layouts, staffing, and operations.
  • Manage procurement, supplier negotiations, and delivery schedules to meet strict timelines.
  • Develop and implement alcohol management plans; prepare and manage liquor licensing applications.
  • Lead onsite delivery, including bump-in/out, bar infrastructure setup, and WHS compliance.
  • Manage event budgets, P&L, and post-event reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and staff

About You

You are a proactive and organised professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and has a track record of delivering complex events.

You will bring:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Event Manager (or similar) in large-scale or festival/venue settings
  • Strong operational and logistics management skills — this role requires executional excellence, not just planning
  • Strong understand of Food and beverage Operations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple venues, teams, and service areas simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing diverse onsite crews and casual event staff.
  • Deep knowledge of liquor licensing, compliance, and WHS requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Event Management are desirable, but hands-on experience is most highly regarded.
