Permanent Interpreters: full-time and part-time roles | Melbourne, VIC
We are seeking certified interpreters to join our organisation in permanent full-time and part-time roles.

About the Role

As a permanent interpreter, you will work across a variety of assignments — balancing in-person and remote work and covering multiple sectors throughout the week based on business requirements engaging across multiple modes and assignment types. We are offering both Full-Time and Part-Time roles:

  • Full-Time — 38 hours per week (7.6 hours per day), worked across five days Monday to Friday.
  • Part-Time — An agreed number of hours across three or four days per week (7.6 hours per day)

What You’ll Do

  • Work to a consistent roster with allocated assignments managed by a dedicated scheduling team.
  • Interpret across different modes — face-to-face, video interpreting (VI) and telephone interpreting (TI).
  • Support a range of assignment types, including legal and health settings.
  • Review the details of allocated jobs including alternate assignments if a job is cancelled.
  • Maintain your NAATI certification and other compliance requirements.

About You

  • NAATI-certified interpreter (certification maintained for the duration of employment).
  • Able to work across face-to-face, video and telephone interpreting.
  • Comfortable working across diverse sectors and assignment types.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Willing to complete a Police Check (every 3 years) and Working with Children Check (every 5 years) — costs covered by LanguageLoop.
  • COVID and flu vaccination preferred.
