Description

  • Food & Beverage Attendant — GAZI Sydney
  • Help us turn dinner into a dance-floor and philoxenia(love of hospitality) into an art-form.
  • WHY GAZI FEELS DIFFERENT
  • GAZI isn’t another “pretty plate” restaurant. It’s a Greek supper-club colliding with club energy: DJs drop beats while Athens/Sydney inspired Street Food and flaming Bombe Metaxa fly out of the open kitchen; sax players thread through the crowd; cocktails like the Gazi Gemini out of a Gas Pump, keep the tempo up. What began as a high-octane pop-up is now locked in at 235 Victoria St until the end of 2025, bringing Athens’ raw street vibe to Darlinghurst every night.
  • That electricity only works when the floor team matches the kitchen’s fire. That’s where you come in.
  • THE GIG
  • You’ll be one of the experience-makers who:
  • Own first impressions – welcome guests with genuine Greek filoxenia (love of hospitality) and take orders confidently.
  • Curate the flow – deliver food & drinks at the pace of the party so the room never loses its groove.
  • Read the room – notice when a table needs an extra spritz, a quieter corner, or a sparkler-lit dessert moment.
  • Keep it tight – cash-handling, POS accuracy, and spotless stations so service stays seamless even when the lights drop and the DJ turns up.
  • Back your crew – jump on polishing glassware, restock mezze plates, or coach a new teammate; no silos, all hustle.
  • Live our standards – nail NSW RSA rules, HACCP hygiene, and internal service rituals. Rock-and-roll vibe, Michelin mindset.
  • THE HUMAN WE’RE HUNTING
  • Infectious energy and a people-first reflex. If you brighten up crowded rooms, you’ll thrive here.
  • 3 years in a busy restaurant, bar or club (Greek taverna/grill advantage but not essential).
  • Can juggle trays, drink specs and a 120 bpm soundtrack without breaking stride.
  • Crystal-clear English; extra language points for Greek.
  • Able to stand for long stretches and lift up to 12 kg (we won’t ask for 25 kg—our kegs stay where they are).
  • Flexibility for nights, weekends, and the odd brunch rave.
  • WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
  • Tip-sharing that actually moves the needle – our guests are generous.
  • Staff family meals cooked by our -trained brigade.
  • Upskilling sessions (wine, cocktail, Greek food stories) because smarter staff sell more and earn more.
  • Pathways to bar, section-lead or management roles in our growing portfolio.
  • Friends-and-family dining perks so you can show off where you work.
  • A team culture built on belonging, mastery and celebration—behavioural-science basics that keep turnover low and spirits high.
  • Ready to own a section that feels like a street party in Athens?
