Description

The Co-Group are seeking compassionate and reliable casual Support Workers to join our team in the Myall Coast region of New South Wales, including and not limited to Gloucester, Port Stephens, Bulahdelah and Tea Gardens. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to individuals living with disability or requiring aged care assistance, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day personal care, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, household duties, and shopping
  • Assist with community access, social engagement, and recreational activities
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care
  • Follow individual care plans and behavioural support strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

About You:

  • Genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and minimum 2-hour shifts as required
  • Understanding of person-centred care principles

Requirements:

  • Valid NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (for paid employment)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Previous experience in disability, aged care, or community services (preferred)
  • Knowledge of NDIS guidelines and practices
